How I Became A Trainer

My name is Brent Hruska. My journey of becoming a trainer and helping people make monumental life changes began when I was very young. As a child, I was overweight. As a result, I had a hard time fitting in and being accepted by my peers. To comfort this depression I would emotionally eat, which just made matters worse. When I reached high school, I realized the pain and suffering I felt from being overweight hurt worse than any obstacle to overcome it. I decided to make a change. I was trapped in my own body and needed a way out.

There was only one problem – I had no idea how to take the first step. I was lost and confused, but knew I had to do something. I reached out to my Dad and, together, we started making small changes. We committed to daily exercise, weight lifting, and adding protein to our diets while eliminating emotional eating. It was exhilarating… I became obsessed with reaching my new goals. I lost over fifty pounds and when I came back for the start of my sophomore year of high school, everyone was completely shocked. I was a new person physically, mentally and emotionally.

After my transformation, I knew I would spend the rest of my life helping people make life changes through personal training. I have been a trainer since 2005. I have studied the body and how it operates, read countless methods and theories of transforming the body, and worked under several trainers with various approaches to training. I have helped thousands of clients achieve vibrant, healthy living through basic principles of health and fitness – without gimmicks, media trends or unrealistic diets.

I coach clients through small changes that turn into life transformations. Together, we set achievable goals and create a plan for success. The immense amount of knowledge and experience I have gained over the past decade is small in comparison to the magnitude of positive lifestyle changes I have helped people facilitate.
